In line with the current legislation and your organisations individual evidence practice requirement’s.
The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 requires that a registered provider should appoint an independent person to visit and report on the children’s home in accordance with this regulation. This is to ensure an impartial critical analysis of the safeguarding and service delivery; which in turn will aid the continuous improvement of the home.
Ofsted will review the content of the Regulation 44 reports to inform their next inspection and uses the information to decide if they need to take any other action. Failure to submit any regulation 44 report will be noted in the lines of enquiry for the next inspection. Findings in this area may impact on the judgement for Leadership and Management.
Our visits are for a minimum of 3 hours long to get a full oversight of the home. They can be announced or unannounced, and also take place over the weekends to ensure that the young people are in and not at education. During the inspections discussions will be had with the young people and staff; also, feedback will be sought from social workers, independent reviewing officers and parents where applicable.
Following the inspection, a report will be written with our inspectors’ findings and evaluation on the care. This report will be circulated to the Responsible individual, the homes Manager any other interested parties and Ofsted.
We have crafted a Quality Assurance Monthly Inspection for Young Person’s Supported Accommodation. To aid our clients within this field to ensure their homes are going above and beyond with the growth and development of their residents. These inspections are announced/unannounced. Following the inspection, a detailed report will be written with our inspectors’ findings and evaluation on the care. This report will be circulated to the homes Manager any other interested parties.
We have set up many residential children home provisions. Our consultants will set up children home systems and paperwork for new homes or visit existing home to review set-up.
